What does this mean for Champ Software clients?
So, what does this mean for Champ Software Nightingale Notes clients?
Primarily, this new development means that when Champ Software’s Iowa clients are ready to start submitting data to the IHIN, we already have the beginnings of the infrastructure in place.
Koble Group has shared with us that the connection and data requirements are similar to those Champ already supports in Minnesota and North Dakota.
Once Iowa agencies begin participating in the IHIN, they will be adding to the data exchange capabilities they already have between Champ Software’s Nightingale Notes EHR and the Iowa Immunization Registry (IRIS).
Why is this exciting news?
This is exciting news because Champ Software is already connected to HIEs using the Orion platform in both North Dakota and Minnesota.
In North Dakota, there are 13 public health agencies submitting Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADTs) records, and Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) to the North Dakota Health Information Network (NDHIN) from Nightingale Notes.
In Minnesota, Champ Software sends ADT and CCD records from Nightingale Notes to the Koble-MN, Orion platform for public health agencies representing Kittson, Pennington, Red Lake, and North Valley areas.
